Server, PC and CAD Workstation Upgrade Project
A Walsall based control panel manufacturing company was suffering from slow network speeds from an outdated server and old desktop PCs, which reduced productivity levels in their business. They turned to the team at Vibrant Networks for a solution.
The Challenge
The clients network needed an upgrade as they were experiencing slow network performance and had old out of date servers running their network. The Walsall based control panel manufacturing company required a solution to improve their connection speed and quality. Vibrant networks carried out the following:
- Upgraded the old Dell server for 20 users installing a new HP ML 350 Server with hypervisor running VMs
- 4 x HP Z4 Series CAD Workstations were supplied with TX 400 Nvidia Graphics cards to run their design software efficiently
- 4 x Lenovo M920q Mini PCs replaced old slower Windows 10 Desktops
- 12 x existing PCs were upgraded to Windows 11 Professional
- 1 x Zyxel ATP 200 Firewall with network security
- 1 x 48 Port POE Zyxel Switch
- 1 x 24 Port POE Zyxel Switch
The Result
After two days of preparation and two days on site installing the hardware, this client now benefits from a faster network and more secure connection with minimal downtime.
