Zyxel's Nebula Cloud Managed Wi-Fi Solution

BJS Distribution Storage & Couriers Limited began as a two person, family run delivery and assembly business. Over the last 15+ years, the company has grown rapidly, specialising in large scale warehousing, logistics, and distribution for well known brands.

As BJS expanded its operations, warehouses and delivery routes, its technology estate evolved alongside it. Barcode scanners, mobile applications and digital stock systems became central to daily operations, making reliable, secure warehouse Wi‑Fi business critical rather than optional.

To support this growth, BJS required a scalable, enterprise grade Wi‑Fi solution that could keep pace with a fast moving logistics environment.

The Challenge

BJS was experiencing unreliable and inconsistent Wi‑Fi coverage across its warehouses. As the business grew, five wireless access points were installed across two warehouse locations. However, as barcode scanners and mobile applications became more heavily relied upon, the existing network struggled to cope.

Temporary solutions, (including Chromecast devices to support scanning and delivery reconciliation), placed additional strain on the network. This led to performance issues, device instability, and increased concern around network security vulnerabilities.

Upgrading the existing access points would have been both costly and ineffective, given the pace of BJS’s expansion. The business needed a long term warehouse Wi‑Fi solution that could scale easily, remain secure, and support ongoing growth without repeated reinvestment.

The Solution
Vibrant Networks recommended a cloud managed Wi‑Fi solution using Zyxel’s Nebula platform, designed specifically for growing and distributed environments such as warehouses and logistics operations.

Zyxel’s Nebula NAP203 cloud managed access points were deployed, enabling zero touch installation. Once installed, access points automatically configured themselves and joined the network, significantly reducing setup time and disruption.

Each access point features a dual optimised antenna, delivering long range, high performance coverage across large warehouse spaces while eliminating connectivity “dead zones”. The robust, hard wearing casing also protects against airborne particles commonly found in industrial environments.

This scalable, cloud managed Wi‑Fi architecture provided BJS with a future proof foundation capable of supporting both current operations and continued expansion.

The Benefits

Zyxel’s Nebula cloud management platform gave both BJS and Vibrant Networks centralised, real time visibility of every access point across all warehouse locations. This enabled rapid troubleshooting, proactive monitoring, and consistent performance across the entire network.


The solution also delivered enterprise grade security features. This helped to protect business data, devices and applications, whilst also remaining cost effective for a fast growing organisation.


Since implementation, BJS has expanded from 10 delivery vans to over 115, now operating 100+ routes nationwide, rising to 140 routes at peak times. Warehouse capacity has also increased from two locations to six warehouses.


The Wi‑Fi deployment, which began with five access points across two warehouses in 2017, has since grown to 10 access points across four warehouses, with further rollout planned. BJS aims to deploy up to 30 access points in total to continue meeting customer demand for fast, efficient and reliable service.
